    ITER is a unique, first-of-a-kind project that aims to demonstrate the technological and scientific feasibility of fusion energy.


    To meet a challenge of this magnitude, Wood, Assystem and KEPCO E&C have joined forces to create MOMENTUM, a joint-venture with a proven track record of delivering complex construction projects in diverse industries including nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and mining.

    As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself.

    • Engineering work packages analysis and preparation of package supporting documents
    • Construction Work Package (CWP) preparation through to Smartplant
    • Installation Work Package (IWP) review after contractor mobilisation
    • Define construction requirements input
    • Add relevant reference documents


    Major interfaces:

    • CMA construction and completions teams
    • CMA site coordination and PTW team
    • CMA Quality Control team
    • Domestic agency site team - F4E
    • Contractors site team

    Compétences / Qualifications

    Experienced in:


    • Mechanical and structural assembly of large heavy complex assemblies
    • Heavy lifting construction work sequences
    • Precision assembly to close tolerance
    • Defining work scope steps
    • Identifying temporary works
    • temporary construction utilities
    • Coactivity and access requirements for equipment and personnel.
    • Ability to compile work packages for construction with high production rate
    • Flexible to adapt to evolving process and to synthesise EWP data as it reaches full maturity
    • Ability to meet challenging schedules for issue of reliable work packages to work contractors
    • 7+ years relevant experience in mechanical
    • Nuclear construction site-based experience (desirable)
    • Experience of industrial completions and quality management systems
    • Good spoken and written English language skills  


    Please note that the successful candidate for this vacancy must either currently be based in France or be aware there are no relocation expenses available to support.
